The OG assembled in a bottle, from Libby's drawing: the copper bowl, the silicone bung, the tube down into the water, and the draw tube to the mouth. Copper bowl Silicone bung Draw tube Water
Engineered

Copper pulls the heat out of your draw.

Only silver moves heat faster than copper. The smoke travels the length of the pipe, shedding heat the whole way, and reaches you cool.

Nearly two feet of copper, start to finish. Two thin copper tubes of the same length pass through the stopper in your bottle: one with the bowl on top, down into the water, the other from above the water up to your mouth.

The flower burns on a steel screen in the bowl, so the copper feels the heat but never the fire.

Pure Copper

Canadian sourced and medical grade

A custom machined brass fitting, no solder, lead-free. The entire pipe is cold-assembled.

Copper warms in colour over time, the way a penny does. If you would rather keep it bright, a little vinegar brings it back, and we show you on the Care page.

More on the copper +

Is copper safe to smoke from?

The general caution about copper pipes is about torching the metal directly, heating a raw pipe or a wire until the metal glows and gives off oxide and fume. That kind of direct heat is a real hazard, and the OG works the other way around. The flower burns on a steel screen, held off the metal, so the fire stays off the copper. The copper only feels the warmth conducted through, about 30 degrees on the surface, because copper moves heat too fast for a hot spot to form on the inner wall.

That 30 degrees settles the two worries people raise. Copper fume comes off metal heated hundreds of degrees hotter, up near the point where copper melts, nowhere near a bowl you can hold while the flower burns. Brittle scale takes sustained high heat as well, and an eight-year-old pipe shows none. The copper is pure Canadian medical grade, cold assembled with no solder and no lead. The copper stays a cool, inert path for the smoke.

Cool to touch

Hold the bowl while the flower burns. We measured about 30 degrees Celsius, and copper holds one temperature all the way through, so cool on the outside is cool within.

The draw

Yours to control

A pinch of flower, about 0.05 grams, gives a good draw, and you can use more when you want. The airway is a straw's width, so you pull a little or a lot, however you like. The design rewards using fresh, high quality, small batch flower. Works with flower, hash, kief or a combination.

Your bottle

You bring the bottle

It starts with the silicone bung, made for the OG. It seals into most bottle mouths, an opening of 18 to 28mm, so almost any bottle becomes the chamber: a wine, a spirit, a beer, or one you have made your own. The water inside filters and cools the smoke one more time. Rinse yours out or reach for a fresh one whenever you like.
